Youthnited: Love Scars, with God you won’t get hurt!
Are you afraid of getting hurt? Because of heartbreak? Because of loving the wrong person? Nowadays people are breaking up easily because of cheating, heartbreaks, and unfaithfulness, trauma that makes it scary to love and get hurt again and again. You’ll ask yourself, “DOES TRUE LOVE REALLY EXIST?” Youthnited for Christ organization with The One Bible App held a love month event last February 25, 2023 at Bulac First Community Church with the Youth of Linawan Christian Church - LCC lead by Pastor Boy Cayetano and Pastor Randy Templa of Christian Fellowship Church of Mendoza – CFCM. With a theme “Love Scars, with God you won’t get hurt!” It was a fun filled event with lots of interesting facts and games which created a light-hearted atmosphere for the youth to enjoy and gain knowledge about God. Pastor Boy made the event very interactive. The participants were asked about love, dating. Basically, the game highlighted that true love with God is not hard, nor can harm us because we are with God. It's hard as to how much we give up in life and what we do with our decisions whether good or bad. Romans 8:31-39 “God's Everlasting Love 31 What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be[a] against us? 32 He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things? 33 Who shall bring any charge against God's elect? It is God who justifies. 34 Who is to condemn? Christ Jesus is the one who died—more than that, who was raised—who is at the right hand of God, who indeed is interceding for us.[b] 35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword? 36 As it is written, “For your sake we are being killed all the day long; we are regarded as sheep to be slaughtered.” 37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. 38 For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, 39 nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Much has been said about love, but how does it all apply to your relationship with God? Pastor Boy at Youthnited made it clear: you must learn to love God first and foremost. If you do that, loving others will come much more naturally. Love Scars is a good way to get students thinking about such questions, while also encouraging them to make the most of their relationships with both fellow man and God. Takeaway: God is always with us; He loves us and wants to show us His love. The Bible—the only book not written by a human author—is proof of the love God has for us. It tells the story of a real God who acts in our lives, whose actions bring about true hope and blessing to those who choose to accept it. Trusting in Him and obeying what He asks of us will bring peace and joy into our lives, as we make Him our God.
